Remembering Our World War II Veterans




Cpl. Andrew Ribsam, U.S. Marines 
Served in the Pacific as a rifleman and weather observer with the 5th Amphibious Corp.  Saw action in Leyte, the Phillipines, Guam and the Marianas Islands, Pacific Theatre




Radioman 2nd Class, Joseph E. Brady, U.S. Navy
Served in the Pacific and saw action in support of the 1st Marine Division on Peleliu. Was oneof 35 men who were with LST607 from commission to decommission, Pacific Theatre.




John DiOrio, U.S. Navy
Served in the 149th Engineers Combat Battalion, landed at Normandy on "D" Day and was later sent to the Pacific Theatre, European and Pacific Theatres.




Tech Sgt. Michael J, Vignola, U.S. Marine Corps.
Served in the Pacific at Guadalcanal, saw action at Bouganville, Guam and Iwo Jima, Pacific Theatre.


The Township of Ocean Historical Museum, founded in 1984, is a member-supported, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey. Its headquarters, the Eden Woolley House, is one of the few 18th-century structures still in existence in the Township. The museum serves as the ancestral home to every citizen of the Township of Ocean. The Township of Ocean Historical Museum offers exhibits on the history of coastal Monmouth County and a full calendar of events. The Museum is also 100% volunteer supported, with no paid staff. The Museum maintains a library and archive, which houses manuscripts, books and photographs of historical and genealogical interest.
